My name is Eric Drum, owner and operator of Collectible Stocks and Bonds.

I started collecting old certificates in 1991.  Originally a paper money collector, I found stocks and bonds to provide more historical interest.

HOW CSB STARTED
I started Collectible Stocks and Bonds in 1993 by selling railroad certificates at train shows in the Midwest (when I lived in Omaha, then Toledo).  Always the computer geek, I tied my interests in stocks to a new thing called the internet and started selling online in 1994. Later (1996), I came up with this website, www.oldstocks.com.  Several evolutions and revisions later, you have the website that you are navigating today.

This is a home-based business to support my own habit of collecting as well as inspiring me to leaving my real job one day.  I live just outside of Richmond, VA in historic Hanover County.  My wife puts up with the piles of stocks but there aren't any outside of my home office or my cube at work.  

WHAT WE SELL
Collectible Stocks and Bonds serves both novice and advanced collectors.  We focus on affordable, novelty pieces but offer a few highly desirable collectors items when we can find them.   Our categories include popular railroads, automotive companies, and general industry.  

OUR PRICING
Our pricing is based on a numbers of references - past auction sales, other dealers, similar pieces, our own cost basis, and sometimes only best guess.  We do have to make a profit so please understand this premise if you think we are overpriced or unfair in our charges.  

You will find that we are comparable to other dealers, sometimes cheaper, sometimes not.  However, if you are not pleased with any purchase, we offer a 100% refund, no questions.  See our large inventory in our ONLINE CATALOG.
