York Transit Company stock certificate circa 1911 (New York)

Great Lakes shipping stock cert with a nice engraved vignette of the freighter "John J Boland" on the lake. Unissued and not cancelled.  Nice border and under print of green.  Circa 1911 from company records.

Incorporated 1911 in New York, the company had a freighter named after one of the founders, John J Boland of Buffalo. Boland was involved in other area freighter companies such as the American Steamship Company.
