Beerline Irrigation Canal stock certificate c1902 (Nebraska)

Nebraska canal project. Very nice triple vignette at top with 3 farm science. Unissued and not cancelled. Circa 1902 from records.  Measures approximately 11 x 8 inches with stub.

The Beerline Irrigation Canal is an agricultural water-delivery system located near Broadwater, Nebraska, associated with the North Platte Project and managed alongside local entities like the Browns Creek Irrigation District. It holds historical water rights linked to storage from Wyoming's Pathfinder Reservoir. Incorporated 1902 in Broadwater Nebraska.

Establishment:
The Beerline Canal District was organized in 1894. Its original surface water right dates back to October 13, 1894. The company was incorporated 1902.

Water Source:
It is authorized to divert water from the left bank of the North Platte River, roughly 4 miles west of Broadwater.

Capacity & Reach:
The main canal spans approximately 5 miles long. It has an appropriation right to divert 30 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water to irrigate roughly 2,080 acres of land south and west of Broadwater.

Storage Allocation:
Under a Warren Act Contract signed on July 3, 1918, the company also holds rights to 1,639 acre-feet of storage water from the Bureau of Reclamation's Pathfinder Reservoir in Wyoming to supplement its irrigation needs during dry periods.
