Buffalo Steamship Company stock certificate circa 1911

Great Lakes shipping stock cert with a nice engraved vignette of a freighter on the lake. Unissued and not cancelled.  Circa 1911 from company records.

Incorporated 1910 in Ohio, the company mostly ran barges in rivers but also had a number of Great Lakes freighters that moved ore and iron for steel companies near the eastern end of Lake Erie. the company and its assets were sold to the American Steamship Company in 1922.
