Chart House Enterprises, Inc. was the original company behind the iconic Chart House restaurants, known for seafood, steaks, and locations with great views, founded in 1961 by Joey Cabell and Buzzy Bent, but today, the Chart House brand is owned by Landry's, Inc. with Chart House Enterprises itself often mentioned in historical contexts as operating alongside other concepts like Peohe's and Angelo & Maxie's.

Origin:
Started in 1961 with a focus on unique locations (coasts, mountains, lakes) and a menu featuring seafood, steaks, and prime rib.

Growth:
Expanded to numerous locations across the U.S. and Caribbean, including other concepts like Peohe's and Angelo & Maxie's.

Troubles:
It faced financial troubles in the 90s, got acquired by Sam Zell's Equity Group Investments in the late 90s,

Current Ownership:
The Chart House brand is now fully integrated into Landry's, Inc.'s portfolio from the 2002 acquisition.
