Established 1984, Congress Street Properties together with Eastover Corporation is a participant with other real estate companies in a shared expense agreement. Joined the NASDAQ in 1984 (deleted 1992). The other participants include: Citizens Growth Properties (an Ohio business trust), Eastgroup Properties (a Maryland REIT), Eastpark Realty Trust (a District of Columbia REIT), and Rockwood National Corporation.

The company invested in diverse real estate ventures including Farm Fish (animal/agriculture) and residential development.

The company is now inactive.
