Dixon Chemical Industries stock certificate 1959

A producer of sulfuric acid and byproducts, this company was based and incorporated in New Jersey. Dixon Chemical changed its name to Paulsboro Chemical Industries (Paulsboro NJ) in 1963 and merged into the Essex Chemical in 1970.

Essex produced chemicals, adhesives, sealants, bulk pharmaceuticals, and generic drugs.  Essex eventually merged into the Dow Chemical Company in 1988.
