Fidelity Chocolate preferred stock certificate 1920 (Boston Massachusetts) certificate no. 1

Boston candy company! Plain certificate for preferred shares. Issued and not cancelled. Dated 1920. Measures approximately 13.5 x 10 inches. 

Incorporated 1917 in Massachusetts, The Fidelity Chocolate company made and sold boxed chocolates in Cambridge. They had shops in Boston and later Syracuse and operated in the early 1920s. Their slogan was “Sweets of Distinction”.

According to help wanted ads, they made their own wooden and paper boxes by hand, hiring both men and women. The company operations were in Cambridge. It was believed to be bought by Baker Chocolate (Dorchester MA) before 1927.
