The Globe Phone Manufacturing Corporation was incorporated in 1925 but originated from the Globe Phone Manufacturing Company (circa 1907). Based in Reading and Boston, Massachusetts, the company is most historically significant for its role in the development of the world's first commercial electronic hearing aid.

The Vactuphone (1921):
In collaboration with the Western Electric Company, Globe Phone Manufacturing Company released the Vactuphone, the first commercially produced hearing aid to use vacuum tube technology. While Western Electric manufactured the device, Globe served as the primary distributor and brand holder.

Non-Electric Hearing Devices:
Prior to the electronic era, the company produced mechanical hearing aids like the Globe Auditube (circa 1912), which were essentially conversation tubes designed to amplify sound without batteries.

Radio and Communications:
By the early 1920s, the company was also active in the burgeoning radio industry, advertising components, and consulting with technical experts like Earl C. Hanson.
