Incorporated 1907 in Buffalo NY, the Kensington Steamship Company was founded by John J. Boland, Fred W. Ealey, William Brooks, Adam E. Cornelius and I. E. Cornelius (Buffalo natives and the company’s original directors). The company’s offices were located in Grand Island. On February 5, 1917, the company merged with the American Steamship Company.
