Kensington Steamship Company stock certificate circa 1907 (New York)

Great Lakes shipping stock cert with a nice engraved vignette of an American eagle perched on a globe with shield and olive branch. Unissued and not cancelled.  Circa 1907 from company records.

Incorporated 1907 in Buffalo NY, the Kensington Steamship Company was founded by John J. Boland, Fred W. Ealey, William Brooks, Adam E. Cornelius and I. E. Cornelius (Buffalo natives and the company’s original directors). The company’s offices were located in Grand Island. On February 5, 1917, the company merged with the American Steamship Company.
