Rare certificate number 1. Stock has elaborate under print of sun rays and clouds. Rough edges outside the border. Issued and not cancelled. Dated 1925. Issued to Albert Lewis who also signs as president.
This stock certificate apparently was to raise money for the 1918 play of the same name. Treasurer Max Gordon was the producer of the play.
Rita Weiman, born Philadelphia; attended Friends' Central School in Philadelphia, Art Students' League in New York; wanted to be an actress, took it out in writing. Collaborated with Alice Pollock and produced "The Co-respondent"; afterward wrote "The Acquittal" and "Moon Magic." In December of 1937 "The King's Breakfast," written by Miss Weiman and Maurice Marks, was produced at the Repertory Theatre in London.
