Moorestown National Bank stock certificate 1895 (New Jersey)

Uncommon NJ banking piece!  Elaborate vignette of farmer working his fields on a horse-drawn harvester. Issued and cancelled with holes through signatures. Dated 1895. Approximately 11 x 7.5 inches.

Established 1885, the bank operated under NB Charter 3387 until closing in 1927.

The Moorestown National Bank/Burlington County Safe Deposit and Trust Company was located at what is now 70-74 E. Main St. Also know as the Rodman Building. It was built in 1885 and in the mid 1920s these banks left the premises, were renamed and moved to other locations on Main Street. The Rodman building was demolished in 1965.
