Palisades Amusement Park was situated in Fort Lee and Cliffside Park. It was an amusement park that operated from 1910 to 1971. It was known for its rides, a Ferris wheel, the Cyclone roller coaster, and a large saltwater pool. The park was featured in Freddy Cannon's 1962 song "Palisade Park," and bands like the Rolling Stones played there. The park closed permanently in September 1971 due to traffic congestion and rezoning for high-rise development.
