The Peoples Bank of Lebanon Pennsylvania was organized under the laws of the state of Pennsylvania in 1888. The bank had an initial capitalization of $50,000 which was raised to $100,000 in 1890.
The Peoples Bank of Lebanon Pennsylvania became part of the Lebanon National Bank in 1894. The Lebanon National Bank was established in 1831 as The Lebanon Bank before becoming a national bank in 1864 (Charter 680 - could issue US currency).
