Established around 1871, it housed extensive operations, including worker housing, and was a major player in the local textile industry, though eventually demolished.
Hetty Green, the legendary "Witch of Wall Street," had a direct connection to the Potomska Mills Corporation in New Bedford, Massachusetts, holding shares and engaging with the textile industry.
