The Savannah and Northwestern Railway was a railroad in Georgia that operated from 1914 to 1917. It was formed from the Brinson Railway in 1914 after being purchased by William Morris Imbrie and Company and was later absorbed by the Savannah and Atlanta Railway in 1917. The line's route originally ran from Savannah to St. Clair and had a branch line to Port Wentworth.

Origins:
The railroad started as the Brinson Railway, built by businessman George M. Brinson beginning in 1906.

Expansion:
The line was extended to Newington in 1909 and then to Waynesboro and St. Clair by 1913.

Name Change:
The Brinson Railway was renamed the Savannah and Northwestern Railway in 1914.

Absorption:
The Savannah and Atlanta Railway bought the Savannah and Northwestern Railway on July 16, 1917, and renamed the entire line to the Savannah and Atlanta Railway.

Legacy:
After its absorption, the Savannah and Atlanta Railway continued to operate the line, which ran a mixed passenger and freight service until 1959.
