Talking Clock Manufacturing Company stock certificate circa 1910

Very interesting piece from over 100 years ago. Nice elk vignette to the left on the front of the certificate, the back has a vignette of the company's product. Unissued and not cancelled. Circa 1910 from company records.   

In 1910, the Talking Clock Manufacturing Company developed a clock that, besides keeping good time, operated thirty advertisements.  An Edison phonograph was used to attract the attention of passers-by by setting forth the merits of various wares.

A belt arrangement brings into view a plate bearing an advertisement discussed by the phonograph. The advertisement was changed automatically every minute.  The device was operated by a small 1/2 horsepower electric motor.
