The Toledo, Fremont & Norwalk Railroad (T, F & N) was an interurban electric railway incorporated in Ohio in 1899, connecting Toledo, Fremont, and Norwalk, eventually merging into the Lake Shore Electric Railway around 1901-1901. It operated electric passenger and freight services, with its line extending northwest from Fremont towards Toledo, serving communities like Woodville.
Incorporation:
Formed on September 12, 1899, with Samuel Angus president, William B. Comstock vice-president, William A. Comstock secretary, Andrew W. Comstock treasurer, and Henry Haigh general counsel and assistant treasurer.
Route:
Connected Toledo, Fremont, and Norwalk, running about 25 miles northwest from Fremont towards Toledo to Woodville.
Successor:
Became part of the Lake Shore Electric Railway (LSER) around 1901.
Operations:
Provided interurban electric service, a common form of public transit and freight hauling in the early 20th century.
