Vignette of a large American bald eagle with wings spread in a mountain scene. Unissued and not cancelled. Dated 189_ , circa 1890 from company records. Measures approximately 12 x 8.5 inches.
The Union Railway Company was formed in Chester, PA, in 1890 with the goal of building an electric interurban railway from Linwood through Chester and into Media, though these plans were not fully realized, with the company eventually operating electric street cars in the Marcus Hook area. The company was associated with the Chester Traction Company
In 1912, the Peoples Railway Company absorbed the Union Railway Company and the Brandywine Railway Company.
