Metropolis Motor Company stock certificate circa 1917

Fantastic vignette in the upper left of a man behind the wheel. He is interestingly attired in a flowing silk scarf and Mercury's helmet. This is a must-have for any collector! Certificate number 111. Circa 1917 from issued examples.

Fred Kennedy (founder) operated a steamboat on the Mississippi river In 1916 he invented a rotary valve and later organized the Metropolis Motor Company, which was located in Metropolis, IL.
