Alaska Gold Mining Company of Indiana stock certificate 1897

From the height of the Klondike Gold Rush, this stock certificate from the Alaska United Gold Mining Company is perfect piece of history. Triple vignettes include two miner scenes and stamping mill along a river. Nice gold seal to the lower left.  Issued and not cancelled. Minor folds from mailing as shown with small splits on outer edges that lay flat for framing.  Dated 1897.

The Alaska Gold Mining Company of Indiana operated ten claims in Berners Bay mining district (50 miles North of Juneau on Lynn Canal). The company operated a 10-stamp mill, run by water power. The company was headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.
