San Francisco based oil company. Beautiful gold underprint with a green border, American Bald Eagle with shield vignette. Issued and uncancelled. Dated 1902. Small edge splits top and bottom.  Measures approximately 10 x 8 inches.

The Clear Light Oil Company was incorporated 1901 in California. The company operated a main office in San Francisco. Possibly refined and sold light oil for lamps before the wide spread home use of electricity.
