Exchequer Gold and Silver Mining stock certificate c1904 (Nevada)

Comstock Lode area mine. Nice vignette of the corporate monogram logo to the left and a very small mining scene at the bottom. Unissued and not cancelled.  Circa 1904 from corporate records. Smaller (check-sized) format. Measures approximately 9.5 x 4.5 inches.

Exchequer Gold and Silver Mining Company was incorporated in 1904 as a successor to the Exchequer Mining Company, all its assets were sold to the Comstock Exchequer Mining Company in 1926.

The Exchequer Silver Mine is near Virginia City, Nevada. Historically the site has been part of the Comstock Lode-Gold Hill Mining District. Mine was in the Gold Hill Mining District , Storey County Nevada, next to the Yellow Jacket. The Exchequer lies next south of the Bullion and between it and the Alpha. It has been prospected through the Bullion and Imperial shafts.

Explorations down to the 1700-, 1800-, and 2000-foot levels crosscuts showed only low-grade ore.
