Nice mining stock. Wonderful vignette of a steam train with passenger cars at the top, early oil derrick, steamboat, and dog with safe on other parts of the cert. Unissued and not cancelled. Dated 18__. Circa 1890 from company records.
Incorporated in Steubenville OH (Jefferson county), Most these mines supplied coal to the Cleveland and Pittsburgh Railroad for locomotive use. Other local mining businesses operated coal and iron mines to support the Jefferson Iron Works, Riverside Iron Company, and the local glass industry (Steubenville glass).
