Founding:
The Lucky Mc Uranium Corporation was founded by Neil and Maxine McNeice in 1956 after they discovered uranium in the Gas Hills area of Wyoming in 1953. The company was named after the "lucky" McNeices, with a four-leaf clover in its logo.
Operations:
The company operated a large uranium mine and a mill in the Gas Hills region, which processed 12 million tons of ore between 1958 and 1988. It was a major part of the early nuclear industry.

The original Lucky Mc site is now a decommissioned and reclaimed facility. It is still subject to regulatory oversight by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and is currently managed by Ur-Energy Inc.
