The Niagara Mining and Smelting Company was a Utah-based mining company incorporated in 1888, operating in the Bingham Canyon area and producing silver, gold, and lead. The company developed a 5-stamp mill by 1898 and a significant mining project called the Niagara Tunnel, which was a major undertaking but ultimately considered a failure.
By 1905, the property came under the control of the United States Mining Co., a predecessor to the United States Smelting, Refining and Mining Company (USSR&M).
