Incorporated 1911, the Paterson Central Improvement Company was established as a land and real estate developer. Records show the company was involved in local property deeds (purchases) as late as 1935. It is likely the company failed during the Great Depression when funding dried up.

Paterson, New Jersey, known as the "Silk City," is the state's third-largest municipality. Founded in 1792 by Alexander Hamilton, it was the nation’s first planned industrial city, leveraging the power of the Passaic River's Great Falls to spark the American Industrial Revolution.
