Pennsylvania oil railroad. Stunning multiple vignettes - top scene of a steam train, bottom engraving of the PA state seal, lower left scene of an early oil operation, lower right scene of a steam train by oil wells along a river. Dated 18__ but circa 1884 from issued examples of this certificate type. Unissued and not cancelled. Measures approximately 12 x 8 inches.
Incorporated 1864 in Pennsylvania to transport oil out of Venango County oil fields to refineries. Very early PA oil railroad!

Headquartered in Titusville, Pennsylvania, the heart of the early oil region in Venango County.
