Fun Central PA collectible. Larger stock certificate with an appropriate dairy cow vignette. Nice green border. Issued and not cancelled. Dated 1954. Measures approximately 12 x 5 inches.
The West Shore Creamery Company was incorporated in Delaware in 1926 and was based in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania (Cumberland County). The area is known as the West Shore of the Harrisburg metro since it on the West side of the Susquehanna River. West Shore is a term still used today in Central PA.
The company took over the operations and plant of the Walter Wood Dairy on 5th & Market Lemoyne, PA. The company sold milk in bottles in the local area. The land was converted into a shopping center (West Shore Plaza) in 1954.
