Great older Washington DC banking stock with a great vignette of the Capitol Building with horses, carriages, and turn of the century pedestrians. Unissued and not cancelled. Dated 1900's from issued examples.
National Bank of Washington – founded in 1809, dissolved in 1990. Its offices and main branch sat at 301 7th Street. The main bank building was built in 1888. It was a work of James G. Hill and Daniel J. Macarty. It was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 for its architecture, which is Romanesque, Richardsonian Romanesque, and other.
