Uncommon CA sugar collectible. Interesting fancy printed vignette with the company nameplate. Unissued and not cancelled. Circa 1906 from company records and certificate print. Measures approximately 10 x 8 inches. 

Established in 1906 in Hamilton City, California, the Sacramento Valley Sugar Company was a pioneering agribusiness in Northern California. Built by James Hamilton and the Alta California Sugar Beet Company, it became a major local employer before being sold to Spreckels Sugar Company in 1936. The plant ceased operations in 2006

Originally developed by James Hamilton and the Alta California Sugar Beet Company, it was sold in 1936 to the Spreckels Sugar Company.

Legacy:
Known historically as the Holly Sugar Plant, it was a major customer of local railway lines (SP and CFNR).
