Indiana oil exploration. Nice vignette of a large oil field with wells and trains. Gold underprint of a hand holding a torch. Dated 1905. Vertical folds from mailing. Measures approximately 10.5 x 8 inches. 

Incorporated 1905 in Arizona with offices in Indianapolis Indiana.

From 1913 Indianapolis Journal:
J. A. Egbert, an agent of the Commercial Oil Company of Indianapolis, is prospecting in the interests of his company in the northern part of Franklin township (southeast of Indianapolis), Wayne county, and the southern part of Randolph county. The company has leased about 4,000 acres of land and will drill four wells.
