Findley Gold Mining Company stock certificate 1902 (Cripple Creek Colorado)  

Nice Cripple Creek Colorado mining collectible. Plain certificate with brown border and brown ornate nameplate. Capitalization of $1,250,000. Issued and cancelled.  Light water stains as shown in border. Dated 1902 for 1000 shares. Measures approximately 11 x 7.5 inches.

The Findley Gold Mining Company was a historic mining enterprise primarily active in Cripple Creek, Colorado from 1890-1912. The company was centered around the "Findley Mine".

Cripple Creek, Colorado:
By the late 1890s, the company held significant claims on Bull Hill, including the Findley and Shurtloff mines. The property was located on Bull Hill where two shafts were sunk to depths of 600 Feet and 415 Feet with several drifts.

Production:
The mine was a major producer in the early 20th century. By April 1904, the Findley and nearby Shurtloff mines had produced approximately $700,000 in gold.

Ownership:
The property was managed by the Findley Gold Mining Company, which also controlled the Shurtloff shaft located about 800 feet to the north.
